Internship Program

IMHANS offers short-term training to regular students from other institutions in Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology, Psychiatric Social Work, the Center for Interdisciplinary Brain Sciences​ (CIBS), and Psychiatric Nursing through the student placement program. Postgraduate Students from different streams of mental health, like Social Work, Psychology, and Psychiatric Nursing Graduate and Postgraduate Students in Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, etc. can opt for the placement program of IMHANS. The student placement program lasts one month, commencing on the first working day of the month.​ ​Generally, only two students from one institution are allowed at a time.​

Interested students should apply through their department head or institution head via email (preferred) or post. The concerned institution must forward the applications for​ consideration of the internship. Applications should be submitted to the IMHANS​ (internship@imhans.ac.in) at least 30 days prior to the requested commencement date of the placement. The internship fee is Rs. 2500 per individual for one month. The amount should be paid as a demand draft drawn in favor of the Director, Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (IMHANS), Kozhikode, at the time of placement allocation.
