Recovery Facilitation Project (RFP) is a daycare project started in 2018 to facilitate
the recovery of adults with severe and chronic mental illness and reintegrate them within the community. The Department of Social Justice, Govt. of Kerala funds it. The age group between 18 - 60 are eligible beneficiaries of the RFP. Persons using tobacco and occasional alcohol use will be included in the service. Persons with substance dependence syndrome, Intellectual deficit disorder, Personality Disorder and persons with Organic conditions will be excluded from the service.
RFP helps disabled individuals develop the emotional, social and intellectual skills needed to live, learn and work in the community with the least amount of professional support. The unit operates in daycare and non-residential facilities. The selected
beneficiaries are given free transportation, food, and essential medicines.

  • Patient and family education program
  • Recovery oriented counseling
  • Psychotherapeutic interventions
  • Training in activities of daily living
  • Social skill training
  • Vocational training
  • Rehabilitation programs
  • Education reintegration program
